OpConnect Awarded Five-Year Contract to Support Southern California Edison’s Fleet Electrification Goals
OpConnect, a leading fleet EV charging solutions provider, has been awarded a five-year contract by Southern California Edison (SCE) to deliver EV charging hardware, networking and maintenance services in support of SCE’s fleet electrification goals. Our work includes supplying and servicing dynamic charging stations and maintaining SCE’s EV charging network across its 50,000 square mile service area. California has long led the way in clean transportation. As one of the nation’s largest electric utilities, SCE is actively building the infrastructure needed to support the shift to electric mobility across its operations.

Charging Built for Real-World Performance
Behind the fence EV charging, installed at depots, yards and other operational facilities, demands more than just plug-and-play hardware. These environments require scalable infrastructure, secure software, and high reliability to meet the needs of busy fleets and essential services.

That’s where OpConnect’s turnkey model stands out. Our solution for SCE combines high-performance charging equipment with U.S.-developed software and round-the-clock support. With real-time monitoring, secure data handling, and remote diagnostics, our platform provides complete visibility and control, allowing fleet managers to operate with confidence.
Why Uptime Matters
For utility fleets, uptime isn’t just a metric, it’s a mandate. When vehicles are needed for emergency response, grid support, or field operations, their charging infrastructure must perform without question. That’s why OpConnect’s approach is grounded in reliability.
Our system architecture is designed for high charger uptime, backed by proactive maintenance and 24/7 technical assistance. We support every site with tailored service-level agreements and responsive local teams to ensure the infrastructure is always ready when needed.

Designed for Scale
As electrification scales across large utility fleets, flexibility and integration are critical. OpConnect’s software platform enables seamless scaling, from supporting new charging sites to adapting to evolving energy management strategies. Built-in load management tools, API integrations, and secure communications help ensure our infrastructure supports, and not limits fleet growth.
This contract also extends beyond fleet applications. Following the initial award, OpConnect was selected to support workplace charging across SCE facilities
“Fleet operators, especially utilities, need EV charging solutions that are dependable, flexible, and designed for scale,” said Dexter Turner, CEO of OpConnect. “We’re proud to support SCE with the technology and service needed to keep their operations moving, especially during emergencies.”
